Renessøy in April 2020.

Another meeting with friends over a cup of tea, board games, and hiking in the neighborhood in April 2020 during the quarantine in Norway.
This time I went to spend some time with my beloved friend who lives on Renessøy. It is an island of tomatoes in greenhouses all over the place, sheep all over the fields. It's a tiny island filled with the smell of manure, salty wind, and amazing weather you can imagine in April on the south-western coast.
Love this place. Love my friends.

It is private property. It grows wild garlic here. The owner of the land sells these plants. Anything that grows up to a stone fence can be harvested/collected for your own needs.
They say in the spring, non-local people come by boats under cover of night to that spot of the island. They collect everything that grows, raking up the grass with boxes, and disappear into the night until the next time.
